HarvestFest 2026

Saturday, October 10, 2026

Dear ESATM Community,

The 2026 Bloomfield HarvestFest was a hit! This past Saturday we worked at the Community Event, and a gorgeous day brought many people out. Thanks to all the students who came out and worked on this event. Hilary, Skyler, Jenna, Yu Sun and Pamela all did such a great job with meeting passersby and drawing people in. They were right out there providing education about medicine, speaking on benefits of acupuncture and connecting individuals to the Intern Clinic. I was honestly surprised and impressed by their initiative— NO time wasted! Of course, we took breaks to enjoy ourselves with famous kebobs, laughs with other local business owners and the DJ had us doing the electric slide!

Sherlley was there always ready to help out and make sure things go smoothly. Thank you for being a part of this event!

We had a lot of support from students who were in between classes. I know they had fun with us! Thank you for stopping by and spending some time with us!

Lastly, Midori McGovern, our newest addition to ESATM, supervised this event. Midori graduated from our Herbal Medicine program and stayed on as a post-Grad in the clinic. Without her, we wouldn’t have been able to be a part of the HarvestFest. From guiding students with points to demonstrating facial acupuncture, she helped make this event very successful! (I made sure to get my facial acupuncture in too). Thank you for running this event, Midori!

There will be future events if you haven’t yet attended one. Part of what makes these events so fun for students AND faculty is you are out of the clinic setting, having fun and at the same time, educating, marketing, and making connections. (and receiving clinic hours too)

Festival Highlights: Mini Complimentary Sessions

To introduce acupuncture in a comfortable and accessible way, we offered mini complimentary stress-relief treatments right at our booth! Dozens of visitors took a quick 10-minute break from the festival buzz to experience immediate relaxation. Using specialized auricular (ear) acupuncture and gentle acupressure protocols, we helped guests melt away neck tension, calm their nervous systems, and reset their energy levels to enjoy the rest of their festival day.

Why Autumn Is the Perfect Time for Acupuncture

In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), autumn is closely linked with the Metal element, representing the lungs and large intestine. As the environment transitions into colder, drier months, our bodies are naturally susceptible to seasonal changes. Acupuncture supports this natural transition by:

  • Boosting Immunity: Strengthening respiratory health to help prevent cold and flu symptoms.
  • Regulating Mood: Balancing hormones to counter seasonal changes and autumn fatigue.
  • Releasing Tension: Clearing blockages built up from busy summer and back-to-school schedules.

Continue Your Wellness Journey
If you receive a complimentary session at our booth, your body has already tasted the relaxation acupuncture brings. To build on that foundation and address deep-seated health or stress concerns, we recommend scheduling a full diagnostic consultation and treatment session at our main practice space.

Special Festival Thank-You
We are so grateful to everyone who stopped by to chat, ask questions, or try a mini session. As a special thank you, all festival attendees can unlock an exclusive introductory discount on their first full-length acupuncture appointment. Reach out today to reclaim your natural harmony this season!
