Point Energetics – The Mu-Collection and Gui-Ghost Points of Acupuncture

January 8 – 9, 2022, 10:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Register early! Class sizes are limited

Program Description

Common in the practice of acupuncture is the grouping of points to represent the summary of ideas and treatment strategies as often represented through acupuncture protocols and formularies.  Among some of the historical groupings have been the command, mu-collection, shu-transport, and xi-cleft points.  Others have been recorded in the fu-odes of acupuncture and specific traditions associated with notable clinicians of the past, such as Sun Si-Miao.  Recognizing that students and even clinicians of acupuncture generally learn about these groupings through the memorization process, the focus of this weekend seminar is to present the historical derivation or organization of the mu and gui points groupings.  Emphasizing that such understanding can optimize a practitioner’s usage and application of these acupoints, the seminar is intended to deepen participants’ relationship to these specific groupings so as to further their relationship to other acupoint groupings as well.

Current practitioners will receive thirteen (13) continuing education units (PDA points) for completion of the class. A CEU certificate of completion will be given at the end of the CEU. Attendees must attend both classes in its entirety to receive the certificate.

Attendance for both days is required to receive PDA credits from NCCAOM.

Licensed Acupuncturists must provide their license number when registering for this event.
