Healing Stones In Chinese Medicine – As Tools For Self-Healing & Self-Cultivation

April 15 - 16, 2023, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Register early! Class sizes are limited

Program Description

One of the most important facets of Chinese herbal medicine as found in their ben caos (materia medicas) is the use of shi-stones/rocks and kuang-metallic ores for prevention and therapeutic healing.  Influenced by the traditions of Chinese alchemy, these mineral substances can provoke profound changes and transformation with its recipients from internal to topical applications.  While stones have been also worn as amulets or ornate jewelry, their healing effects can transcend their appreciative and decorative values to “solidify” the permanence of therapeutic intentionality and application.  Instrumental to their long-term wearing is the qi that emanates from different stones to significantly affect one’s cultivation and realizations.  This weekend seminar will discuss and explore the common stones found in the Chinese materia medica, as well as developing an approach toward integrating these minerals for self-healing and in clinical use.

Current practitioners will receive thirteen (13) continuing education units (PDA points) for completion of the class. A CEU certificate of completion will be given at the end of the CEU. Attendees must attend both classes in its entirety to receive the certificate.

Attendance for both days is required to receive PDA credits from NCCAOM.

Licensed Acupuncturists must provide their license number when registering for this event.
