We have officially wrapped up our outdoor community events for the year as the colder weather approaches. BIG thank you to Shiaomei Weingarten (and Mr. Weingarten too!) who ran our Harvestfest event this past Saturday- it was a great success! Many stopped by the ESATM booth out of curiosity. Students did an outstanding job with educating the public and providing auricular acupuncture treatments! It was heartwarming to see so many people leaving the booth with smiles of appreciation. We have some regulars now, just doing the events over the summer!
A very sincere thank you to the graduating class for gifting ESATM the canopy tent, which was necessary this past weekend! Your gift allowed ESATM to participate for the day and stay dry!
And to the students who came out and worked the day- THANK YOU for the energy you brought and for engaging with the public in such a compassionate, professional manner! The public felt your intentions —I’m sure the Intern Clinic will get an influx of new patients as a result of your enthusiasm. Interns… bring your rollerskates, ha!!
CJ, Junhan, Katrina (and sis), Tiana and Skyler- you all made this event a success. Sherlley- thank you for showing up and connecting with the public. And thank you, Irene, for attending an event earlier in the summer.
There were also a few surprise visits from Chelsea and Dr. Denmark, Midori, and Greg Skroce- it was so lovely to see your faces!
I have seen participation grow since our initial event over the summer, with more students, faculty, and staff attending events. Let’s continue to grow and expand our reach to those in need by coming together with events like this. If you think ESATM would be interested in participating in future events, please reach out to me!
